HEDge bodhran
Die HEDge ist nicht nur wegen des synthetischen Trommelfells vegan. Auch bei Rahmenmaterial, Kleber und Oberflächenmaterial werden keine tierischen Produkte wie z.B. Bienenwachs verwendet.
Der Name HEDge (Hecke) soll genau diesen Umweltgedanken, die Nachhaltigkeit und die vegane Bauweise herausstellen.
Die HEDge erlaubt die Verwendung jeglicher synthetischer 14″ Trommelfelle, sodass jeder sich einfach seine individuellen Sounds schneidern kann.
Und das alles mit einem hochinovativen Fellwechselsystem, welches einen schnellen und werkzeuglosen Fellwechsel ermöglicht.

Ein innovatives Fellwechselsystem das überzeugt:
Es dreht sich alles um Standard 14“ Synthetiktrommelfelle, wie man sie überall auf der Welt und von verschiedenen Herstellern bekommt.
Drehen im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes! Denn nach dem werkzeuglosen Entspannen der Stimmschrauben kann das komplette Stimmsystem mit einer kleinen Rechtsdrehung entnommen, und das Trommelfell in Sekundenschnelle gewechselt werden.
Anschließend das Stimmsystem wieder einlegen, eine kleine Linksdrehung bis es stoppt, und schon kann die Trommel wieder gespannt und gestimmt werden.

Der Kompressorstimmrahmen mit isolatHED Stimmtechnologie sorgt für präzisen, definierten und dennoch natürlichen Klang.
So überzeugt die HEDge sowohl beim akustischen Einsatz, als auch bei Live-Mikrofonierung und Studioaufnahmen mit hervorragender Klangqualität.
Nose-to-tail
Der Rahmen mit dem gewissen Extra.
Alle Rahmenteile des konkaven Rahmens der HEDge sind aus massiver Riegelesche in nachhaltiger Nose-to-tail-philosophie gefertigt.
Das bedeutet, dass ein ganzer Stamm komplett verwertet wird. Mittels innovativer Konstruktion und modernster CNC Fertigungstechnik werden so selbst aus kleinen Reststücken hochwertige Trommelringe gefertigt. Die dafür entwickelten puzzleartigen Holzverbindungen sorgen nicht nur für höchste Stabilität, sondern sehen auch noch sehr dekorativ aus. Die dunklen Inlays im Hauptrahmen sind aus extrem harten Wengeholz gefertigt.
Hier fließen handwerkliche Tradition, Fachwissen und zeitgemäße Produktionstechnik zusammen und bilden ein in sich stimmiges Musikinstrument auf höchstem Niveau.
Industriestandard
Ein Trommelfell das sich Ihren Bedürfnissen anpasst.
Durch die Verwendung des weltweit verbreiteten Industriestandards für die Montage sind jegliche im Musikfachhandel erhältlichen 14 Zoll synthetische Schlagzeugfelle verwendbar. Die Möglichkeiten sind somit endlos. Tiefer Sound mit viel Attack, aber kurzem Nachschwingen, wie eine komprimierte Heavy Metal Bassdrum? Oder lieber einen Sound, der tonal nahe an einem Ziegenfell ist? Mal einen paukenähnlichen Klang ausprobieren? Ein nahezu unhörbares Übungsfell? All das und viel mehr ist jetzt möglich.
Die Auslieferung erfolgt immer mit dem HEDge Universal REMO Skyntone® Trommelfell. Dieses wird von Christian Hedwitschak mit einer speziellen Technik getaped und produziert einen individuellen, ausgewogenen Klang. So entsteht ein voller Ton, hervorragende Bässe, knackige Höhen und eine schnelle Ansprache. Hervorragend geeignet für Session und verstärkte Auftritte.
Synthetische Felle zeichnen sich durch eine hohe Stimmstabilität auch unter extremen klimatischen Bedingungen aus.

"Of course the single most important feature of a Bodhrán is its sound. Once again Christian exceeded every expectation; the HEDge sounds marvellous; deep bass, flexible tonality and crisp and clear mid and high frequency responses. Combined with the very easily interchangeable, standard 14 inch drumhead, you’ve got an almost indefinite amount of sound possibilities. A joy to play, to discover and to experiment with.
But... what astonishes me even more, is Christian’s incredible woodworking craftsmanship. His level of detail exceeds the finesses of the grain of the beautiful Ash wood. Part of the HEDge is a wooden rim, created out of 6 pieces, which fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. I added some macro photo’s of the wooden connections between the parts; the beautiful fine grain of the Ash wood turns out rough, compared to the precision of the connection Christian created. And what about the 6 pieces of Wenge wood that hold the free floating tuning system in place. They fit seamlessly into the frame of the Bodhran; you can neither see nor feel the seam.

WICHTIG! Naturtrommelfelle auf der HEDge.
Die HEDge ist speziell für SYNTHETIKFELLE konstruiert.
Auch wenn auf dem Markt Naturfelle auf 14" Alurahmen verfügbar sind (meist Kalb oder Känguru), sind diese nicht für die HEDge geeignet!
Naturfelle benötigen einen größeren Stimmspielraum, eine andere Fellauflage und einen höheren Gegendruck.
Die Verwendung von Naturfellen auf der HEDge kann zu irreparablen Schäden an der Trommel führen, da Naturfelle "nachziehen" können. (Zusammenziehen bei Trockenheit/Wärme).
Ich rate dringend davon ab Naturtrommelfelle auf der HEDge zu verwenden!!
